Located in the Chandrapur district of Maharashtra, the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve is one of India’s preeminent reserves. Its tropical dry deciduous forest ecosystem harbours at least 80 tigers, and there are over 200 tigers in the larger landscape. This is known to be the fastest-growing tiger population in the country. Tadoba also supports several other carnivore species, including the leopard and dhole, with the sambar, chital, wild pig and gaur being the most common prey species.

A revered spiritual landmark, Mahakali Temple attracts thousands of devotees, especially on Tuesdays and during the annual festival in April. The temple houses two idols of Goddess Mahakali, one in the sanctum and another in an underground chamber accessible via a tunnel. It is one of the most significant religious sites in Chandrapur.
Markandeshwar Temple is an ancient complex dedicated to Lord Shiva, situated on the banks of the Wainganga River. The temple features intricate stone carvings and is believed to be over a thousand years old. It holds great religious significance, especially during the Mahashivratri festival, when devotees gather in large numbers.
Built in the late 15th century by the Gond rulers, this historic fort once served as a stronghold for the Chandrapur kingdom. The fort's walls, bastions, and gates reflect its former grandeur. Today, it stands as a reminder of the region’s rich history.
Constructed in the 9th century by the Nagas, Manikgad Fort is a hilltop fortress surrounded by dense forests. Though now in ruins, it offers breathtaking views and is an excellent spot for trekking and exploring ancient architecture. The fort also houses an old Vishnu temple.
Karwa-Ballarshah gate in Junona, Chandrapur, offers an exciting jungle safari experience. Visitors can spot a variety of wildlife, including tigers, leopards, and diverse bird species.
Situated on the banks of the Wardha River, Ballarpur Fort was built by King Khandkya Ballalshah in the 16th century. Despite its ruins, the fort retains its historical charm with intact walls and gateways. It is an intriguing site for history lovers.
Located near Chandrapur, Junona Lake is a popular spot for boating and picnicking. The area features well-maintained parks and small restaurants, making it an excellent place for a relaxing outing.
